We can play outside!?!
We've been coming home from school and going inside the house to find something to do for many, many, many months. This week we played outside after school for the first time in a very long time. We could hardly contain our excitement.

When there's a heat wave after our LONG winter, we get...
...a necessary trip to Captain Sundae. Oh, and lots of laundry. I should have taken some close up pics of Til's mess.
Beautiful night. It was soooo nice, Brighton took his coat off and accidentally left it there. Geesh.
We love our Captain Sundae. Bring on spring and summer!
Fun Night
Almost thirty years ago I went to Fun Night, an annual tradition at my elementary school. I remember it as being spectacular. Brighton now goes to the same school, and he just went to his first fun night. The tradition continues. Grandpa and Grandma tagged along because I was actually out of town at a mom's conference. I love that Brighton included his little sister in a lot of the festivities. As he explained, "Mom! It's a bunch of fun, and it's at night, so it's Fun Night." Fun, for sure!
