We're doing somewhat of a stay-cation this week and part of next.  I of course have off from school, but Jon took some time off too.  We are LOVING our time together over here. One of our excursions was the Grand Rapids Children's Museum.  We'd never been, and we had a few free passes.  So we went to check it out...great place!

Christmas Cookies

From birth through age two Brighton was cared for by Dee a couple days each week.  Tily would be in her care now as well except that Dee retired from many many years of childcare; she now actually works at our church.  Until we arranged our current childcare for Tilden, I would tell everyone that I was desperately looking for a new Dee.
One of the things Dee missed most was making holiday cookies with her kiddos, so we all got together and did cookies together this past weekend.  It was great fun to do the cookies and just to all be back together again,  The kids loved it.  We even got a great picture of all of them.

WOHS Lip Dub 2012

This is the third year that my broadcast journalism students have produced a lip dub at West Ottawa High School.  Last year they actually pulled it off in my absence, but this year we've spent the last couple months planning and practicing.  It premiered on Friday, December 21 at our holiday assembly.  It proudly demonstrates our "Panther Pride" and features hundreds of WOHS students.  In case you'd like to watch some of it, here it is...

Christmas at the Critter Barn

We visited the live nativity at the Critter Barn again this year with some of the Walcott clan.  Brighton wanted to go, but he didn't want to get too close to anything because a baby chick pooped on him last year, and he didn't forget about it.
