First Family Snowman

Yippeee! The snow was finally just right to make a snowman.

So here you have it...the first Walcott Family Snowman.

Meet & Greet

A couple weeks ago my husband came running upstairs shouting, "We're going to the boat show! We're going to the boat show!" It wasn't about the boats for Jon, it was about wakeboarding star and legend, Parks Bonifay.
Parks is undoubtedly one of the greatest wakeboarders in the world. Plus, he holds the Guinness World Record for being the youngest water skier; he skied at 6 months and 29 days old. His life is super interesting, and we're not the only ones that think so; they made a documentary about him which Jon got for Christmas.
From the previous post you can see we had a great time at the show, but the best part (honestly we're all a bit star-struck) was meeting and talking with Parks. He was super cool and talked to Jon and Bright for several minutes. We're lovin' our autographed poster and DVD.

Bapa Look-Alike

This is my dad's younger brother...my Uncle Keith:

Brighton saw him Sunday, pointed, and yelled "Bapa!"
Keith is not really a grandpa, but he does look an awful lot like Brighton's grandpa (my dad).

One can never have too many bapas especially if they read cool books with you.

All Out Pink Out

We headed to West Ottawa last night for Pink Out. If you live in the area, you probably read or heard about the event arranged by one class of students and one teacher from WO, all in an effort to plan a fun community event that would also raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Our little guy was so excited to head to another "backetbaa" game, and I was thrilled I was able to wear a pink t-shirt and jeans to school on Friday. My students and my family were all looking forward to what was going to be a really fun Friday night. In great games, we did lose to Rockford, but the event was super fun and hugely successful.
