Winter Wonderland

We've been blessed with lots and lots of snow the last few weeks, so we've been making the most of it...in as many ways as possible.  Bring on the snowmen, snowshoes, sledding, snowmobiling, snow angels, and skiing!  Now,can arrange for more snow and maybe another day off from school?

Christmas with the Fam...Again

The Walcotts gather on Christmas Eve for a celebrating frenzy. It must also be noted that we had our own nativity again this year.  What a fun way to remember the reason for the season!  Brighton didn't want anything to do with it.  My assigned role was the donkey [insert your jokes, chuckles, and snickers here]. Loved it.  It's amazing what a great costume a scrap piece of fabric can create.

Christmas Party #1

First celebration of the season goes to the extended Genzink clan.
Plus, they do it up right: lots of fun people, catered dinner, gym to play in, many yummy desserts, and there are gifts.

Life is good.  Bring on the holidays!

We Kinda Love This Zoo

We went back to Binder Park Zoo again; I think we might have an annual spring tradition on our hands.  We loved our visit last year, so we decided to go again.  It's really something to look especially at Tilden when we visited Binder Park Zoo just one year ago; she obviously has changed the most!

This year we took the trip with some extended family.  From Brighton's perspective just about everything gets even better when his cousins are involved.  We fed the giraffes of course and had a wonderful time.  It was a beautiful day,  so we even followed our visit with a picnic lunch.

Grand Haven Gathering

We had good times in Grand Haven with the Walcott clan last night to celebrate a couple birthdays.  We did Pronto Pups for dinner and ice-cream for dessert.  It seems to be an annual tradition.  Yes, not the healthiest of meals, but it's just once a year.  We walk along the boardwalk in Grand Haven.  We also stopped at the splash pad this year.  West Michigan is a great place to live, ya know?
