St. Patty's Day

We found out last week that even our town has a St. Patrick's Day Parade that is not to be missed.  We received more than our fair share of green balloons, and we should have taken a pail to bring home all of the candy and prizes.  Even several days later we still have goodies from the parade. The boys are still sportin' St. Patrick's Day temporary tattoos too.  

Cousin and Auntie were even IN the parade.  That was a very special bonus.

 

As you can see we were close to Crane's, so we ran in there to get Brighton one of their apple-cider donuts.  And even they were in the St.  Patty's Day Spirit; their donuts were green.  Fun times downtown Holland!

Haircut Helper

The whole family went to get haircuts this week...even Tilden.   Thanks for your help Auntie JoJo!

Brighton loves helping JoJo.  He did ask for a scissors.  I almost chuckled, but then clearly and slowly explained the only person in our family that cuts hair is JoJo.  Hope it sunk in.

 

March Starts with Skating and Sheep

The Walcotts had a great weekend!  We hope you did too.
I went with my boys to Disney on Ice; it was a first for all three of us.  We had a great time out, and we loved that we knew all the characters, stories, and songs.

 

Then Saturday morning we hit a train show at our church, and then went to Shady Side Farm just north of here because we heard it was sheep shearing day.  The family owned farm invites everyone to come and watch.  It was fascinating, and another first for all of us.

 

Yes, March is here and if you look in the sky, it feels like spring.  But that is where it ends.  We still have quite a bit of snow or "icebergs" as Brighton calls the big chunky piles.  It was a fun-filled beautiful sunny weekend, but still very cold.  We're ready for you spring!
