School's Out For Summer

Brighton had his last day of preschool today.  Bittersweet for all of us.  Our little guy is growing up.  Oh how we will miss friends and teachers at Lakeshore Little People's Place!  At the same time, we (especially this mama) are so ready for summer vacation. After lots of fun in the sun we will start thinking about and start getting excited about next school year.

   Ride a pony?  No way.

Brighton didn't want to ride a pony either, but he kept busy all over the farm with his cousins, and he of course got really dirty too.

The Backyardigans

"We've got the whole wide world in our yard to explore..."

If you don't have kids, you've probably haven't seen The Backyardigans (or heard their catchy theme song).  They're cute little animated creatures that explore the world in their own backyard.  We were kinda like The Backyardigans this weekend.

 We spent lots of time outside, and we added our very own fire pit.  Yahoo!
So, we ended a beautiful day around the Walcott Pit eatin' hot dogs and smores.  
And yes, it for sure tasted like summer.
