Parks and Picnics

We are hitting areas parks each week, and we love to have picnics there too.  This is such a great part of summer vacation.  We're lucky that sometimes Jon joins us for lunch.  

The Start of Summer

It's starting to feel like summer around here...

 

Strawberries

We picked strawberries with Grandma Walcott this week at her garden. Actually, loads and loads of strawberries.  We had Strawberry shortcake for dinner last night and of course there are leftovers.  All of the berries are cleaned, and many are frozen.  Planning on making strawberry rhubarb crisp and freezer jam next week. 

It's the taste of summer!

Ten Years Ago

Just over ten years ago now, we did this...

 

  So this past weekend we did this...

 

(Always thought we wanted to own a tandem.  Good times, but we changed our mind.  I was thankful other family wasn't around video taping us.)

Mackinac Island sans our kiddos (Thanks Mom &Dad!) was fabulous!  
The last ten years...priceless.
