Walcott Basketball Court

This year Jon's Father's Day present was a basketball hoop.  They certainly do come with a lot of work, so his present was a major project.  Sorry about that Jon!  

It certainly is awesome though.  We all love it.  

Jon is quite sentimental about it too as his grandfather was an amazing basketball player and coach. Elmer Walcott passed away this past winter.  On Facebook he took a picture of the finished project and called it our Elmer Walcott Memorial Basketball Court.

Brighton did Basketball camp at Holland Christian High School; it was the first week of summer vacation.  He LOVED it!

Love her, but we should have left her

Brighton received free Whitecaps tickets for reading during the month of March (Reading Month).  We decided to head out as a family to a game on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.  This would be a first for us.  And honestly, we won't do that again for a few years.  I didn't really think it through. Nap time.  Bright sun.  Heat.  Staying seated.
We had a great time, but we only made it a few innings...thanks to Tilden.  I should have just sent the boys.  That's what we'll do next year: guys outing. We love our little Tily, but she's not ready for a baseball game.
