We picked cherries, and it was a first for all of us. It went pretty well, and all of us enjoyed the experience. The picking went much quicker than I anticipated. I'm not loving cleaning and pitting all 17 pounds of them back home, but now we move on to all of the yummy cherry recipes I can find/handle.

Watch out - you may have just started a family tradition! It's addicting. :) I have great cherry pie and cherry crisp recipes if you're interested. :) And be sure to give making jam a try!
