Apples Across the Street

We walked to the end of our driveway to pick apples this year.  Our neighbor has a Golden Delicious tree.  It is overloaded with apples (the branches are even breaking) this year. Bring on the apple goodness!

I was just talking to Kelly about planting an apple tree. But he said you need more than one so that they can cross pollinate. Do you neighbors have more than one apple tree, or are they successful with just one?
