Christmas in March

We missed the extended Walcott Christmas party this past holiday season because we had more than one party happening at the same time.

So Saturday morning we headed to Jon's grandparents' condo with donuts in hand to do some Christmas Celebrating even if it is March.

Brighton of course loved getting another present. He's already intensely anticipating his third birthday in May. Brighton calls these great-grandparents "The Computer Bapa & Ahma." They are the only great-grandparents we Skype with.

Saying Goodbye to the Snow with Snocross

The Double JJ Ranch hosted Snocross (Snowmobile Racing) a couple weekends this month. While we were spending a weekend up north, we decided we should probably go check it out. I probably would've preferred to go shopping, but the guys do outnumber the gals in our family. We had seen this racing on TV before like during the X Games which, you might remember, we watch religiously over here.
We went first thing during the day, so there weren't that many spectators there yet, but we did get to see the kids racing. The youngest one was 4! I was a big contradiction of humor and absolute worry as I watched. I think there is a good chance one of those small snowmobiles is in Brighton's future, but he will not be racing it at the Double JJ or another place like that.
Regardless of how I look at it, it was a fun way to end the snow season around here...at least that is what I hope it was. We drove in the driveway this week, and Brighton excitedly announced, "The grass is back!" Hopefully it stays.

Firetruck Ahma's 80th

Brighton affectionately calls my grandma the "Firetruck Ahma."

She turned 80 this week. Whoa! 80!

We had a great time at her party.

And as you'll be able to tell by the pictures, so did she.
